My creative process:
As a teacher, I have little time to write during the school year, but I do manage to write at least once a month in preparation for my writers’ group (usually the day of), which is just enough to keep the gears of my “writer’s brain” oiled and functioning. Come summer, though, I settle into a lovely rhythm of writing, setting aside one or two hours first thing every morning to savor a few cups of coffee and work on my current project, a memoir.
What I’m reading now:
All the Light We Cannot See; The Outlanders.
Favorite books of all time:
It’s hard for me to pick favorites; I love so many books, each for different reasons, but these stand out in my mind as books that changed me when I read them: Bridge to Terabithia, Watership Down, The Prince of Tides, Cutting for Stone, East of Eden.
