What’s on your nightstand right now?

The House on Boulevard St. by David Kirby

What book made the biggest impression on you as a kid?

There were three: The Bible, for its graphic violence. Ghosts, an anthology of ghost stories I repeatedly checked out of the school library between 3rd and 5thgrade to read the same story over and over. And The Little House books.

What or who inspires your writing?

Devastating loss, grief, dreams, emotional torrents, and the mystery moving through all of it.
