What’s on your nightstand?

Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children by Ransom Riggs.

Do you prefer reading print or ebooks?

Print! Always.

If you could spend a day with an author, who would it be?

At the moment, Erin Morgenstern. I’m a huge fan of The Night Circus and would love to talk with her about it.

What book made the biggest impression on you as a kid?

The Chronicles of Narnia by C.S. Lewis. I’m still looking for the wardrobe and my way in.

What’s your writing routine? Are you an early bird or a night owl?

I’m an early bird, but my writing routine is not consistent. I have a children and a full time job, so I write whenever I can find a spare moment or make the time – often on my lunch hour!

Who or what inspires your writing?

Reading the work of other poets inspires my own work, as does participating in my monthly writing group.

Besides writing, what’s your passion?

My kids. Currently, I love watching my son succeed at basketball and my daughter develop her talent in art.
