Rosanna Staffa

Rosanna Staffa is an Italian-born playwright and author. She holds a PhD in Modern Foreign Languages from Statale University in Milan, Italy and an MFA in Fiction from Spalding University. Her short stories are or will be published by a variety of literary journals including Story (Migration issue) and American Fiction 2016. She has been awarded fellowships by the McKnight and Jerome Foundation, and an AT/T On Stage Grant. Her plays have been staged in Tokyo, New York, Los Angeles, Seattle and Minneapolis, and are published by Smith & Krauss and Heinemann. The Innocence of Ghosts is included in the Lincoln Center Theatre on Film Library. Her adaptation of Djemma Bider’s The Biggest Little House in the Forest is included in the Plays for Early Learning Anthology Igniting Wonder published by the University of Minnesota Press. Rosanna received commissions from The Guthrie Theatre and The Children’s Theatre Company. She is an Affiliated member of The Playwrights’ Center in Minneapolis.
